Today we went to the Fort Worth Zoo with Babs and it was such a great day! First of all, it wasn't crowded at all since school's in. And secondly, the weather was just perfect! It was sunny, but not hot at all, and the zoo has lots of shaded areas so we were perfectly comfortable. And thirdly, we always have fun hanging out with Babs!

Our first stop was the monkeys - Zoey wore her "monkey butt" (as I call it) outfit so she'd fit right in at the zoo! The kids watching the monkeys were more interesting to her than the actual monkeys, until they started swinging around and playing, then she was pretty intrigued!

Next stop was the giraffes and elephants, I brought her Halloween costumes to take some pics in, here's Zoey the Giraffe meeting real giraffes for the first time! You may notice she is looking down - that's b/c there was a Koi fish pond in front of the giraffes and she thought that was way more impressive than the giraffes!

We looked at lots of other fun animals, but Zoey's favorites were the birds and the fish - because they move a lot and are colorful! She watched the saltwater fish tank for a long time, and enjoyed the enclosed bird habitat as well as the pink flamingos outside!

We had a wonderful time and, like the pumpkin patch, it was just so cool to be able to take Zoey to do such a "kid" thing! Babs and I had as much fun taking her as she did enjoying the zoo I think! We look forward to many more visits in the future!
