Roadtrip to Fredericksburg, TX

Babs and Pops took us to Fredericksburg last weekend for Dow's birthday and we had a great time. Mom/Babs read an article about a neat bed and breakfast there and we stayed in the barn, it was really cute! It had a living room w/ a fireplace, kitchen and bathroom (w/ a whirlpool bathtub) on the first floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Zoey got to try a bath w/ the jets on, she didn't seem to like or dislike them either way. We ate lots of good German food and Zoey really enjoyed the pastries they brought us each morning. She was sitting next to Pops on the couch while he ate his breakfast Sunday morning watching his every move/bite. He shared a little with her and she kept wanting more....



We spent the day Saturday touring around downtown Fredericksburg. It was their big Christmas celebration weekend, so there was lots of pretty decorations and Santa was there! We figured Zoey would like him since she likes everybody, but apparently he just looks too weird w/ all that hair on his face, she wasn't so sure about him!



She had fun with Babs and Pops though, she was cracking Pops up, if he wasn't paying 100% attention to her, she would "yell" at him until she had his undivided attention! Of course it didn't take long to get him to focus on her :)



We enjoyed all the shops, we all got a little Christmas shopping done, and apparently wore Zoey out!



There's a wildflower farm down there which I'm sure is gorgeous in the spring, it was still cool to see even at this time of year though. Here's Dow and Zoey in the cactus garden.



The bed and breakfast has a donkey and 3 sheep that wander the grounds, they are very friendly and apparently really like carrotts! We had a great time with Babs/Pops and enjoyed checking out Fredericksburg.
