Merry Christmas

I love this time of year, and especially this year, sharing all of our traditions with Zoey too! Christmas Eve we "do" at our house, this year we went to a Christmas Eve Service first since that works better with Zoey's schedule, and then came home for a yummy dinner and Dad's/Pop's annual reading of The Night Before Christmas! Granny and Lexi are in town, Granny stayed with us tonight and Lexi went home to Mom and Dad's. Here's Zoey "helping" Aunt Lexi get her presents ready:

We headed over there in the morning after Zoey's breakfast. She enjoyed opening presents, and trying Bab's Christmas Morning Pastry, for a little bit before taking her morning nap. Everyone got some fun Christmas presents!! One of Zoey's favorites seems to be the Baby Doll from Babs and Pops (the eyes open/close and she was very intrigued by this). On my first Christmas, when I was only 3 days younger than Zoey was today, I got a baby doll from my Grandma. It too had eyes that opened and closed and I apparently was fascinated by them as well, Babs got a kick out of watching Zoey do the same exact thing! She got a bunch of cute clothes and fun toys, she really seemed to like the plastic balls we got her (like in the ball pits), even though she hasn't tried them in a "pit" yet (pack-n-play).

We had our usual lunch (ham and Mom's homemade mac-n-cheese), plus we all had a bunch of yummy treats to sample too! Zoey enjoyed the food and the presents and the attention/people, it was a great day!! I think one of my favorite presents was cake decorating classes from Mom and Dad!!

The day after Christmas we tried out our new luggage and flew to KY to visit Dow's family. The luggage worked great (and is very pretty!) and we had a good flight, with Zoey napping for most of it. We spent a lot of time just hanging out with LD (G-Daddy) and Dow's sister, Beckie, and her family (David and kids Parker (5) and Ainsley (1), very fun to see with Zoey)! We also got to see our friends Robb and Sheryl, they made a yummy dinner at their house and had the Doepke's and Stamper's over as well. Brayden Stamper is just a couple days younger than Zoey and it was so fun to watch them "cruising" around the coffee table after each other! It was so much fun to see Zoey interacting with her cousins, Parker was really good at making Zoey laugh, and Ainsley was so sweet, not only sharing her Cheerios with Zoey, but even feeding them to her!!
