Happy Anniversary and Easter, all in one weekend!

Our 5th anniversary was on Saturday! To celebrate, we redeemed our Christmas present from mom and dad, (along with our new luggage) the "romance package" at the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Las Collinas (across the street from their condo). We relaxed in the hot tub before a yummy Italian dinner, enjoyed the view from our 15th floor suite, ate a nice breakfast at the hotel, and of course, Dow watched a little basketball! His college team, Western KY made it to the Sweet 16!!

While we were enjoying ourselves, Zoey was having a great time spending the night with Babs and Pops, her first overnight away from us! They went on a few walks (we saw them one time!), played with lots of toys, and Pops even bought her an Easter Bunny cookie for a special treat! You can see them (sort of ~ through the trees) watching the ducks in this picture taken from our balcony.





Then, back at home on Saturday, Dow and Zoey "worked" outside while I got ready for Easter brunch at our house and worked on my scrapbook. Zoey had fun helping Daddy and also going in and out (and in and out and in and out, etc). The step into the house is the perfect size for Zoey and she had so much fun going back and forth!







Sunday she wore an adorable poofy pink Easter dress and her new shoes, it was a little cold so she wore a cute sweater too, and of course, her new hair bow! After lunch and a nap (she's down to one a day now), Dow took her on her first Easter Egg Hunt! She didn't like walking in the grass too much so we relocated the rest of the eggs to the patio, but she sure had fun collecting them in the basket! She caught on right away and also enjoyed the Cheerios, Puffs and Goldfish inside the eggs! We got her a little Easter basket with bubbles, a soft, stuffed Easter Bunny and a chocolate "rubber duckie" like the ones she loves at bath time! She loved the chocolate one too :)
