Trip to NJ

Zoey, Babs and I flew to NJ this past weekend to visit family and friends, it was so much fun! We stayed with my Aunt Lynn and Uncle Roy (Zia and Uncle Roy to Zoey). We also got to spend time with my Aunt Lowell and Uncle Jonathan (YaYa and John to Zoey), as well as their two boys, Sam and Henry. They are my cousins, and Henry coined the term "cuncles" for cousin-uncles to Zoey, haha! And of course my Grandma - Zoey's Great Grandma - but we just all called her Grandma. There were so many names going around it was hard to make sure you called everyone by the right name in front of Zoey! And you can't forget Copper - Lynn and Roy's adorable golden retriever who Zoey really loved! I also got to see 2 of my childhood friends, Katie and Kelly, who I haven't seen in at least 15 yrs we figured out! They are both married and each have 3 kids, with another on the way for Katie - so much has changed, and it was just wonderful to see them and catch up! The whole trip made me wish we lived closer to everyone we left behind when we moved from NJ to GA back in 1990.

Zoey had so much fun the whole trip - her "cuncles" really entertained her and Zia and YaYa made a fun day for her on Friday by taking her to Build a Bear and buying her an adorable Easter dress! We ate way too much good food and really just enjoyed hanging out with everyone! It was cold and there was snow on the ground, but it didn't snow while we were there - oh well. Zoey wasn't so sure about the snow when we took Copper for a walk, but she got used to it. It was a wonderful trip and Zoey did so good on the plane rides - her last flights as a free infant - too bad! Poor Dow not only didn't get to come, but had a sinus infection the whole time we were gone - not the fun weekend he was looking forward to spending.
