15 months old!

Zoey turned 15 months on Tuesday! She is such a little parrot right now, repeating any word we tell her to try - she's got quite a vocabulary of words that she uses on her own too though...

Mama
Dada
Babs
Pops
Lala (aunt lexi)
NatNat (natalie)
doggy (dog dog)
kitty
baby
bottle
piggy (as in piggy toes)
peek (as in peek a boo)
duck
truck (the garbage truck specifically)
more
shoes
bath
bebo (means belly button from the Sandra Boynton book)
balloon ("boon" - also from Sandra Boynton book)
night night
giraffe (her lovey)
bye bye
hi
ball
mail
cookie
cake
peas
cheese
banana
bubbles
water
book
nose
eye
uh-oh
snap (when snapping her onesies/clothes)
pat pat pat (when petting the doggie, or other things/people we want her to be gentle with)
purple
yummy, or mmmm
spoon

Now of course some of those are easier to understand than others, but she uses them at the correct time and totally knows what she means! Other than talking, she is also showing her creative side a lot lately, playing with her toys in ways other than they were "meant" to be played with, etc. She loves her new "jump-o-line", still loves getting the mail every day, going outside - whether to play at the playground, go for a bike ride or just for a walk - playing with her friends, going to the gym nursery with Morgan, CJ and James, and much more! We lead a very active life as you can tell and she seems to love it. Every morning when we get dressed she heads to the door saying "bye, bye, bye?" Guess she is used to our daily gym schedule! Last night I told her to go say night night to dada and she went in, kissed his leg and said night, night - so cute! She is blowing kisses now instead of just making the kissing sound. She likes to go "ahhh!" like Babs taught her when they go under the bridges on walks, to hear the echo. Now she can go up/down short steps without holding onto anything! Zoey still loves her bath (especially when Pops gives it to her), even at the end when she gets to say Bye Bye to the bath. We turned her car seat around on Tuesday so she can see out even better now, she didn't ever mind being backwards so it wasn't that big a deal for her, but she does like seeing me better! Her 15 month appt is next week, I'll update the height/weight charts then! There's a lot more I could say about what she's doing now, but those are some of the highlights! Here's a few pics for you too!

Sharing a cheeseburger with Pops at our neighborhood pool party:

She LOVES to sit on the ledge and then on the count of "3" have me pull her in and under:

Zoey "helped" me blow up her new toy, a "jump-o-line" and has fun playing in it, we've added some of the balls from the ball pit too now:

Happy Mother's Day!

Zoey helping me bake cookies for the first time, I know she will help make many more batches in the future! Right after this, she tried to stick the whole thing in her mouth - she loves cookie dough like her mommy!

And some video of her "working" hard in the office, going through her papers, catching up on her reading, etc:

I've always said that little baby has quite the work ethic! Working hard to learn words and now keeping up with so many important papers!
