Over half a year old!!

Zoey's half birthday (8/13/07) was not her favorite day - we were driving home from our trip to TN and she was in the car for 9.5 hrs! But, she slept a lot of that and actually did really well on our first road trip! We had a great time in TN, we stayed in a cabin at the Natchez Trace State Park that overlooked a pretty lake! We hiked and swam and grilled out and had a campfire with S'Mores! We had a great time hanging out with Lyssa, Stephanie and their families. It was weird to think we had had met exactly eleven years ago as college freshman and now are hanging out together with our families, which includes SIX kids! In age order they are Lindsay, Anna Grace, McNeill, Allison, Zoey and Olivia :) The kids all did great and Zoey of course loved watching them. She got to swim in a lake for the first time and also felt sand! Luckily she didn't eat any :) Here's the moms with all the kids!

We had her 6 month Dr's appt and she is 16 lbs, 7 oz (exactly 10 lbs gained since birth)! And she is 25 and 1/4", 6 inches longer than at birth. Zoey got another glowing report from the Dr and did great with her 3 shots, what a trooper! We got the "go ahead" on solids, Dr Dutton likes you to start with rice cereal, then orange/yellow veggies, green veggies, fruit and lastly meat. Zoey did much better than I thought she would with her first feeding!!



We also had yet another trip! Mom was going to CA to help Lexi pack, and Dad had business, so we flew to CA to visit Aunt Lexi too! We had a great time (so did Aunt Lexi) and Zoey got to see/feel the ocean for the first time! The water was a little cold, but she seemed to like the sand on her toes!
