May has been a busy month so far! We started out the month by going to the Rough Riders baseball game in Frisco on Cinco de Mayo. This was Zoey's first big group outing, we used the front carrier, and her little head was just going left to right to left, scanning the crowd and taking in all the new sights/sounds! She took a mini nap but mostly just wanted to be a part of the action!
Next was May 13th, my first Mother's Day!! Dow got me roses and a sweet card, Zoey got me Reese's PB Cups (smart girl!) and a cute card! We had mom (and dad) over for the day - check out the 3 generations (and Higgins!) in this pic!
All month we've been going to "Rainbow Babe" classes with Martha and Morgan. The babies love all the sights and sounds and touches they get in class. Here they are watching a colorful parachute flapping above them!
On May 19th we got together for lunch with some of our "Texas Mom's" online group and their kiddos. We went to BJ's for lunch and the manager gave us all a free dessert as a belated "Happy Mother's Day"! Zoey did great at lunch and enjoyed watching the other babies - I think she heard them squealing and later that night she decided she too could squeal! She is discovering new sounds and things she can do each day - it's so fun to watch! Another thing she did for the first time this weekend was to roll from her back to her side! She still doesn't like "tummy time" very much though.
Today, May 21st, Martha had a bunch of us new moms over to hang out and share what's going on in our lives and what's going on with our babies - it was lots of fun, what cute kiddos! We lined 'em up on the couch and tried to get a picture, LOL, 7 wobbly kids is hard to catch - check out Zoey's little hands (she's in the middle), they are always busy playing with each other or being sucked on!Tonight Aunt Lexi comes in from CA, so I'm sure there will be more cute pics and updates coming soon!
